
Email and share articles.BrowZine is a library-subscribed app that lets you read recent journals on your mobile device.

To search for available journals, select 'BrowZine Library' in the black bar at the bottom of the app window. Once logged in, you can browse library subscribed journals.Browse for journals. Use a GALILEO database or Multi-Search to identify articles on a specific topic. The filing drawer icon will be highlighted yellow if an article is saved, and they can be accessed by selecting 'Saved Articles' in the black bar at the bottom of the app window.Once a personal library is created, you can be alerted when new editions of journals are published.Email, save, share, or open articles in other apps.BrowZine makes it easy to scan tables of content, and open articles in your preferred PDF reader (i.e. Also in the Table of Contents view, selecting 'Show Journal in Library' will display the journal along with other titles in the same subject area.Open and read an article from the journal table of contents.Once an article is open, you can browse the issue by using the arrows in the top right to move forward to the next article or backwards to the previous one.To save an article for future use, select 'Save Article' in the 'Send to.' menu. Click on the title to be taken to the current issue of that title.To save your favorite journals to the BrowZine Bookshelf, select the yellow 'Add to My Bookshelf' button when viewing the Table of Contents of a journal.
To annotate an article, you must open it in another app by using the 'Send to.' menu and selecting a note taking program. Click here for a complete list.Currently, BrowZine does not support annotation of articles. Supported publishers include Elsevier, Wiley-Blackwell, Springer, Taylor & Francis, SAGE, Cambridge, Oxford, American Chemical Society, ACM, BioMed Central, PLoS, Project Muse, Mary Ann Liebert, and Highwire Press. Articles and/or article information can also be automatically sent to other places, including DropBox.BrowZine can easily be synced up with popular file organizers and other collaboration tools such as Box.com, RefWorks, Zotero, and Mendeley.To share articles, BrowZine supports third party social networking functions such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinboard, and Tumblr.What publishers are supported by BrowZine?There are many earth sciences publishers that support BrowZine including the American Geophysical Union (AGU), the Nature Group, and PLoS (Public Library of Science).
For now, BrowZine is available for all versions of the iPad and iPad Mini running iOS 5.1 or later, and on Android tablets running Android 4.0 or higher, including the Google Nexus 7 or 10, the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and the Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD.Will BrowZine work without an internet connection?Articles which have been saved can be found in the Saved Articles area, and can be read off-line, but other features will not work.
